Part of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium – Zoombezi Bay – is a 22-acre waterpark that occupies the former Wyandot Lake amusement park. Visitors to the waterpark will find numerous water rides and pools, all perfect for cooling off during the summer heat.
The park offers a large variety of fun including 17 waterslides, a wave pool, an action river, a lazy river, and a kiddie play pool.
Zoombezi Bay's most popular attractions are the Tahitian Twister, a 55-foot tall, 512-foot long family raft ride, the Cyclone, a 55-foot tall "Tornado" funnel tube ride and the Sea Splash tower with the Slippery Seals, Sea Snakes, and Sea Tubes body slides and tube slides.
Nearby you can dive into Wild Tides a large 544,500-gallon wave pool and ride the four-foot man-made waves, ride the Roaring Rapids a 1,500-foot long action river with nine special features or relax in the gentle flowing lazy river.
Inner tubes are complimentary at Zoombezi Bay. Private cabanas surrounding the wave pool with food & beverage service are available for daily rental.
