Located in Beach Haven on Long Beach Island Thundering Surf Waterpark began with four concrete water slides, but is now home to the first FlowHouse in New Jersey, featuring a double FlowRider endless wave machine.
The waterpark also has a kiddie section called Cowabunga Beach with small slides for children under the age of 2 and larger slides for children up to age 10. There are also six serpentine waterslides, a four-lane mat racer slide, a dancing fountains water playground, a giant dumping water bucket, and a lazy river.
Thundering Surf Waterpark also has two 18-hole mini-golf courses that are recognized as some of the best in the area.

Admission for this waterpark is set up in an unusual practice of either 2-hour, 3-hour, or all-day sessions.
From the Garden State Parkway take exit 63 and head east on Route 72 for 6 miles to the beach. Turn right on Long Beach Blvd. and continue for eight miles. Thundering Surf Waterpark is located on Bay Ave. between 8th and 9th Ave.
