This family entertainment center and waterpark will open for the 2022 season under new ownership.
Thunder Island is a family entertainment center that offers guests a waterpark, go-karts, miniature golf, zip line, and a carousel. Attractions in the waterpark include body slides, tube slides, a kiddie river ride, and a lazy river.
The park's collection of waterslides includes the two Body Twisters that can be ridden with or without a mat, a tube slide that you ride alone or with a friend, and the newest slides, the Black Water Tunnel Twisters body slides.
Thrill-seekers will want to try Thunder Rush Extreme Body Slide, a giant bowl slide that starts from atop a 42-foot tall tower. Riders quickly descend in an enclosed tube to enter a giant bowl, where you swirl around and around until you fall through the hole in the center into an 8-foot-deep pool.
