Hurricane Harbor is a multi-million dollar waterpark that was added to Six Flags Over Georgia for the 2014 season. The addition was the largest expansion in the theme park's 47-year history. Open seasonally, the waterpark is included with theme park admission.
Six Flags Over Georgia's Hurricane Harbor is a seven-acre waterpark with water slides, rides, pools, and attractions for cool summer fun. The waterpark's atractions include the world's first hybrid zero-gravity slide, Tsunami Surge, sending thrill-seekers down five-stories to a splash pool below. Nearby, the surf's up in the 38,000 square-foot Calypso Bay wave pool that generates four foot waves in eight different wave patterns.
Three more thrilling tube slides can be found atop the 41-foot tall Bonzai Pipelines tower. Each flume twists and turns as it descends to the splash down finale. For children the Paradise Island is a one-acre, 2,000 square-foot interactive, multi-level, water playground. The structure includes interactive features like climbing nets, water blasters, a giant tipping water bucket and six water slides.
Other amenities at Hurricane Harbor include plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing, cabanas with reserved seating and food service, a beach-themed window service restaurant, retail shops, lockers, tube rentals and a bathhouse.
