Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is considered one the best waterparks in the country.
Offered as an add-on with admission to Six Flags Great America, this Caribbean themed waterpark has slides, pools, and lots of water activities. Splash around in waves in the half-million gallon Hurricane Bay wave pool, float in the lazy river, ride the thrilling Paradise Plunge and Riptide body slides or join three of your friends for a thrilling tube ride into a giant water filled funnel on Tornado.
For younger guests, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor has Buccaneer Bay, a zero-depth water play area with tipping buckets, spray jets and bubbling fountains.
Riptide Bay – a recent four-acre expansion of the waterpark includes the looping Dive Bomber and Mega Wedgie fully-enclosed speed slides where the floor drops out beneath you sending you free-falling down five-stories at speeds of up to 40 miles-per-hour. Wipeout the first outdoor slide of its kind in North America where groups of two-to-four riders swirling in rafts navigate tight turns and two funnels. And Surf Rider a double-sided surf simulator where 50,000 gallons of water per minute flows beneath you at 30 miles-per-hour creating a perfect five-foot wave.
Rental lockers for personal belongings and changing areas with showers are available near the waterpark entrance for those who plan to spend part of their day at Six Flags Great America theme park.
