This historic hot spring and family recreation center has plenty of history and first-class amentities in downtown Steamboat Springs. Old Town Hot Springs has been a community recreation site and place for visitors to rejuvenate for over 100 years.
The facility has eight hot mineral springs pools with water sourced from the Heart Spring well. The Ute Indians that settled the area referred to them as "medicine" springs. In addition to the mineral springs pools, Old Town Hot Springs also offers an 8-lane lap pool for exercise, activity pool, climbing wall, modern fitness center, and waterslides.
Two 230-foot long twisting waterslides offer fun for children and adults alike. The enclosed waterslides are open seasonally and start from a climate-controlled, indoor tower that permits operation during the winter.
Visitors are welcome to bring coolers with outside food and drinks, but no glass or alcohol. Food and beverages are also avilable for purchase at the cafe. The facility includes changing rooms, showers, lockers, and towel rentals.
