Kentucky Kingdom & Hurricane Bay

Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay is now in it's 7th season since reopening in 2014 with new management.

Hurricane Bay waterpark is one of the areas within the Kentucky Kindgom theme park and included with admission.

The waterpark has two large wave pools– Big Surf a 750,000 gallon wave pool with waves of up to six-feet and the newer 12,000 square-foot Family Wave Lagoon. Castaway Creek is a relaxing, lazy river that you can float on a tube. While the Adventure River is a swift moving, continuous channel of water that moves six times faster than a traditional lazy river…making it more fun.

Hurricane Bay's collection of thirteen water slides and rides, includes the popular Deluge hydromagnetic rocket slide water coaster that propels riders up and down hills. Waikiki Wipeout is an exciting cannon bowl tube slide. The Tornado drops riders in two or four person tubes into a giant seven story tall funnel on its side.

Thrill-seekers will not want to miss Deep Water Dive, a 12-story drop, at a 70-degree angle, down America’s tallest body slide! The adjacent Wave Runner is a thrilling triple down body slide that drops 66-feet.

For children and families Hurricane Bay has the Splash Zone, a large interactive, multi-level water play structure and for toddlers and young children Buccaneer Beach is a 10,000 square-foot water play area with themed elements and tot-sized water slides.
