Carowinds Carolina Harbor

The new Carolina Harbor waterpark opens for the 2016 season after a historic expansion and transformation, increasing the size by more than 40% and doubling the number of water slides.

Included with your admission to Carowinds theme park, Carolina Harbor, features new attractions, new amenities, and a new theme. The former Boomerang Bay waterpark attractions all remain, but each sporting a new name and theme.

The waterpark's attractions include Blackbeard’s Revenge a thrilling new six-story slide complex with six new water slides, including the Pirate’s Plank where you'll plummet down a nearly vertical free fall after the floor drops out from beneath you. Surf Club Harbor is Carolina Harbor's newest wave pool, producing up to a six-foot wave in twelve different patterns.

Other favorites include Storm Surge the park's twisted complex of four body slides. Hurricane Falls a four-person, family raft slide with a twisted 564-foot long flume that descends four stories. Surfer's Swell, a 263-foot long tube slide where you can experience the sensation of zero-gravity. And Tidal Wave Bay a second 600,000 gallon wave pool spanning 34,000 square foot wave pool and with 275 feet of "beach frontage".

Children and families will love Pirates Landing, a three-story water jungle gym complete with interactive water features you control and topped with a giant drenching water bucket. For relaxing, take a cruise down the 1,000-foot long Coastal Currents lazy river while floating on your own inner tube.

Carolina Harbor waterpark also features a brand-new, direct from the parking area entrance, new restaurants, new changing rooms, expanded lounge seating and more cabanas.
