Since 1969 Big Surf Water Park has been America's original water park. Situated on 28 acres on the northern tip of Tempe, just south of Scottsdale, the water park has been an Arizona icon for over 40 years.
Big Surf offers guests the chance to speed down one of more than a dozen water slides or splash around in a giant wavepool. Kilauea Cove Slides are two fully enclosed slides you descend on single or double rider tubes. Hurricane Falls lures thrill-seekers with three high-speed body slides descending from a four-story platform. In total, there are 19 water slides to enjoy.
When you're done with the slides, catch a wave at Waikiki Beach. This giant two and half million gallon pool with man-made breakers is America's original wavepool and the largest in Arizona. Surfing and boogie board sessions are held daily in the wave pool.
For toddlers and young swimmers Big Surf offers pint sized slides and shallow pools just for them in Captain Cook's Landing and Bora Bora Bay.
Big Surf Water Park offers a variety of food and beverage choices, a gift shop, and locker and raft rentals.
