South Padres Island, TX — Schlitterbahn's new beachfront hotel and indoor, year-round waterpark resort on South Padre Island is now open. The all-new resort is located on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and has 221-rooms, including family suites, plus ocean-view dining and unlimited use of the resort's indoor and outdoor waterparks.
The new Schlitterbahn indoor waterpark offers seven attractions, including the first double tidal wave river, plus two large 70-foot tall tube slides, a children's area with several slides, a giant heated pool with swim-up refreshments, a beachfront pool, several wild-wave beaches and the grand carousel.
All of the attractions are included in the resorts Stay and Play package for overnight guests or they are included with the purchase of an outdoor waterpark ticket.
Hotel guests will enjoy upscale accommodations with high-definition, flat-screen TVs, iPod docking radio alarm clocks, refrigerators and microwaves. The resort offers both ocean view and pool view suites.
