Rapids Water Park Opens First-Of-Its-Kind Racing Water Slide

Riviera Beach, FL – Rapids Water Park last month opened Rapids Racer, a new racing mat slide from that is the first of its kind in the world. With the latest addtion the South Florida water park now has 35 attractions to keep guests busy during the summer months.

Rapids Racer is a new high-speed competition slide, with six side-by-side lanes that riders race down, head first, while riding atop a foam mat. The six slides start with a fully enclosed flume that corkscrews twice before it opens for a side-by-side, double down race to the finish line.

Rapids Water Park in South Florida debuts Rapids Racer for the park's 33rd season.

The six-lane Rapids Racer is a first-of-its-kind waterslide from ProSlide Technology Inc.

To compliment the racing aspect of the attraction the park installed an electronic scoreboard, so each racer can compare their time and determine a winner.

Rapids Racer is the first KrakenRACER to be installed in a waterpark by ProSlide. The ride is part of ProSlide's evolving line of ProRACER mat slides. The KrakenRACER is a high-capacity attraction and available in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 lane configurations. Rapids chose the six-lane configuration for Rapids Racer.
