Jackson, NJ – Six Flags Hurricane Harbor New Jersey kicks off its 10th anniversary season today with the opening of the new Tornado water ride. The park's newest tube ride blasts four thrill seekers down a dark 132-foot long tunnel before dropping into a six-story funnel.
More than 5,000 gallons of water are used by the Tornado to propel the inner tubes through the funnel, swishing the riders back and forth from side-to-side before ending in the splash pool. Specially designed, cloverleaf shaped tubes seat up to four riders.
Non-riders are also invited to partake in the fun by watching the Tornado attraction from a viewing platform.
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is now open through Labor Day. For more information, visit www.sixflags.com/hurricaneharbornj.
