Yorkville, IL -- The newest and largest outdoor waterpark in Illinois, Raging Waves, kicks off its second season on Saturday, May 30 at 10:00 am. Nearly 300,000 people are expected to visit the Australian themed waterpark this summer that has been recently named "the top Illinois Summer Destination" by USA Today.
"We look forward to a great summer at Raging Waves. We are preparing to help each family create unique memories that will last a lifetime," says Raging Waves owner Randy Witt. "Our hope is that visitors will have an unforgettable experience at Raging Waves and make a day here, with us, a summer tradition."
Raging Waves' 18 slides, including the Boomerang tornado ride featuring a four-story drop into a 60-foot tunnel, are all ready to open. The park also offers a kids' splash area, interactive water play structure, lazy river and wave pool.
