Winter Haven, FL -- Why should humans have all the fun? That's right, it's the last splash of the summer as Cypress Gardens has gone to the dogs! Cypress Gardens' Splash Island water park is throwing open it's gates on October 4, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the ultimate canine pool party. "Hot dogs" will find cool relief at Splash Island, splashing around in the wave pool and feasting on chicken-flavored snow cones. Human guests will enjoy fun games and a canine bathing suit contest.
Daring dogs can conquer all four stories of "Polynesian Adventure," a gigantic water play structure loaded with cool platforms, slippery slides and water cannons. Those that just want to relax and enjoy the water can hang ten in the 20,000 square foot wave pool. Watch out for the awesome waves that swell up every few minutes!
Limited space is available and advanced registration is recommended so RSVP today to ensure a space. Admission to the event is $10 per dog and handler and $5 for each additional person. Children nine years of age and younger receive free admission. Proceeds will benefit The Humane Society of Polk County.
Guests can get registration forms by calling the Humane Society of Polk County at 863.324.5227, stopping by The Humane Society of Polk County at 555 Sage Road, Winter Haven or by visiting www.humanesocietyofpolkcounty.org.
