Hawaiian Surfer Catches First Wave At Hawaiian Falls Mansfield

Fort Worth, TX -- The all-new Hawaiian Falls Mansfield waterpark celebrated its grand opening Thursday, May 22 with a Hawaiian Surfer from the Waianae Coast of Oahu catching the first wave in the park's Waikiki Beach wave pool.

After a private ceremony with invited guests the waterpark opened to the public for the summer season. A group of Polynesian dancers were on hand to entertain the first guests.

Hawaiian Falls Mansfield will be open daily through the summer season.

This new waterpark is the largest and most elaborately themed of the three Hawaiian Falls waterparks in the Dallas/Forth Worth area. The 14-acre attraction cost an estimated $10 million to construct and is expected to attract approximately 150,000 visitors each year.

Guests visiting Hawaiian Falls Mansfield will find 12 water slides, a football field-sized wave pool, a lazy river, two children's areas and water walkways.

Hawaiian Falls Mansfield will host weekly concerts and "Dive-In" movies throughout the season.

Daily admission prices are $17.99 for adults, $9.99 for seniors age 60 years and older and children under 48 inches tall. Cabanas are available for rental and the park has corporate and group picnic areas.

Hawaiian Falls Mansfield opens at 10:30 am Monday through Saturday and 12 noon on Sundays. The park is open daily now through Labor Day weekend.
