Lake George, NY -- Six Flags is constructing a major new water ride at Splashwater Kingdom in Lake George. The new ride named Mega Wedgie will debut at the New York waterpark this summer and offer new thrills for park guests.
According to Six Flags, Mega Wedgie is expected to generate even more excitement in 2008 than its predecessor, Tornado, did in 2007. The new waterslide will appeal to teens, tweens, and everyone who loves an exciting waterslide experience.
"The Great Escape has historically been a true family theme park, and as our plans for 2008 make clear, we are continuing that tradition," said Don McCoy, President of The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom. "The addition of Wiggles World and the Mega Wedgie represents our commitment to the diversification of family entertainment at The Great Escape, where we are dedicated to offering excitement and thrills for families and guests of all ages!"
The Mega Wedgie attraction will complement Splashwater Kingdom's existing attractions, including Tornado, Captain Hook's Adventure River, Paul Bunyan's Bucket Brigade, and the half-million gallon Splash wavepool.
