Construction Begins On $3.5 Million New Hampshire Water Park

Candia, NH -- Workers have begun building Liquid Planet a new $3.5 million water park in Candia off Route 27. The water park being constructed on a seven-acre parcel is slated to open next summer.

Preliminary site work began on August 28 and the final building site plan was been signed off by town officials, said Kevin Dumont, developer of Liquid Planet.

The official groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Saturday.

Dumont's plan is to have a 30-foot-high tower with four water slides, Olympic sized swimming pool, 5,000 square-foot interactive water playground, restaurant, lockers and gift shop.

Approximately 100 seasonal workers will be hired to work at Liquid Planet. Positions will be filled during a job fair next spring.
